Precast panel shop drawings
At the beginning of your precast project, CIVILVIC will do a site visit and conduct a site survey in order to undertake marking plans, elevations and shop drawings. Shop drawings are then "Issued For Approval" to the Project Design Engineer (PDE) and Project Architect.

Site Erection & Certification
For site erection purposes, it is mandatory that an Erection Design Engineer (EDE) ensures that all panels have been designed to withstand loads on site in their temporary condition, for example wind loads. We provide plans and documentation that include a panel erection sequence, propping layout plan and footing design. Finally, we conduct a site visit and issue a Certificate of Compliance to the builder.

Manufacture & Transport of Precast Panels
As the Erection Design Engineer (EDE), we manage the manufacturing process. This includes ensuring that the correct position of the lifters and bracing inserts are cast into the panel. We also ensure that precast panels have sufficient strength so that they can resist "suction" loads and be safely lifted off the casting bed. The shop drawings will show any additional reinforcement or strongbacks if required.
